Abell 1377

Type:

Galaxy cluster. The small fuzzy objects are all galaxies. The tiny size of the Abell 1377 cluster compared to the foreground galaxies NGC 3850, 3888 and 3898 give an indication of their vast distance of about ~ 750 MLy. The brightest galaxies in this cluster have a visual brigtness of ~ 15 mag.
